Adam Schefter hozta a friss hírt, miszerint a fővárosi franchise hivatalos neve azonnali hatállyal Washington Football Team lesz. Mindeközben elkezdenek keresni egy időtálló nevet. A csapat színeit (burgundi és arany) és dizájnját megtartják egyébként, a sisakon pedig a játékosok mezszáma fog szerepelni arannyal az eddigi logó helyett.
